ChatGPT Work: a 4-day license packet done in 3 hours of review
A Denver social club used ChatGPT Work to cut liquor-license prep from four days to three hours and grant applications from three days to two, saving its leadership team 10 to 15 hours a week. The same workflow fits any brewery, distillery, or distributor drowning in permit and renewal paperwork.
How to use it
- Copy the prompt below.
- Swap each [bracket] for your own details. The more specific you are, the better the answer.
- Paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini and send it.
The prompt
You are my compliance and paperwork project manager for a [winery / brewery / distillery / distribution company] in [STATE]. I am preparing [a new liquor license application / a license renewal / a TTB label approval / a state grant or tourism funding application]. The deadline is [DATE]. I have connected or uploaded: [list the folders, email threads, and files you have given it, for example 2024 license file, floor plan PDFs, entity formation documents, last year's grant submission]. Do this, in order: 1. Build a complete checklist of every document, form, fee, signature, and attachment this submission requires in [STATE]. Number each item. 2. Mark each item as HAVE, MISSING, or WRONG FORMAT based only on the files I gave you. Name the exact file for anything marked HAVE. 3. List every open question only a human can answer (ownership percentages, square footage, projected case volume, officer background details). 4. Draft the cover letter and any narrative sections in plain, non-promotional language, using only facts from my files. Leave a [BRACKET] anywhere you need a number I have not given you. Never invent a figure. 5. Give me a one-page work order: what I do, what my GM does, what my attorney or accountant does, with dates working backward from the deadline. Before you start, ask me up to five clarifying questions. Flag any requirement where you are not confident the rule is current, and tell me to confirm it with [STATE AGENCY] instead of guessing. Output the checklist as a table and the work order as a numbered list.
